Simile 6.5 crashes often under Mac OSX Yosemite (10.5)

Email report.

The particular actions that cause Simile to freeze or to quit unexpectedly are: 1) almost every time I save and 2) when I add simple elements to my model (sometimes it works okay for around 5 minutes, but I never really get to complete my model) and 3) sometimes when I hit "run". The error message I get is simply: "Simile has quit unexpectedly" and then there is a 100+ page error report attached that suggests I send it to Apple or report to you. After I have to kill the program or when it crashes unexpectedly,

It sounds as if
your machine is short of memory, but that makes no sense -- a recent
MacBook Pro should have plenty of memory unless you are running a great
many other programs.
Could you send me a copy of the error report? I may be able to tell
something from it...

Over last weekend I ran a couple of different memory cleanup programs on my Macbook and did so again today and now it seems that Simile is running correctly (and faster to boot!). There were a lot of hidden programs running in the background that I did not know about, so it was probably due to too much memory being used at once. Thank you for your time and your assistance.
