The application is not opening on my computer. I was registered last year (november 2010) and have not really used it since. Please can you let me know what I can do to open the application.

Hi Sharon,
When Simile is installed, it creates a directory under your home directory to hold information about licence credentials, recently opened files, and so on. It looks like on your machine, this directory (called Simile on the Mac) has got moved or deleted. There's no easy way to recover from this -- your best bet is to delete the application and re-install it, then it will ask for your credentials again and re-create the directory. If you can wait a few days, we will release Simile v5.9 which will clear up some other problems we have noticed, and you can try that.
