Installing 7.4 on Ubuntu 22.04

Hello,

I am having a few issues with the installation of Simile on Linux. Could you please help me with the following two questions?

1) We are having difficulty installing the Simile version 7.4.1 on an Ubuntu <26.04. To note, we did try in a docker container with ubuntu 26.04, and that did work, so perhaps there is just no support for simile on Ubuntu <26.04. Could you please confirm if this is true?
Here is what we have tried on Ubuntu 22.04:

apt install ./simile_7.4-1_amd64.deb
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Note, selecting 'simile' instead of './simile_7.4-1_amd64.deb'
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
simile : Depends: tkdnd (>= 2.8) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: portaudio19 (>= 19) but it is not installable or
portaudio19-dev (>= 19) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

2) Where can we download the older versions (6.12.10) of Simile? I didn't see it on the website.

Thank you very much for your help!
Best regards,

Alya Bolowich
