Given that a lot of individuals working with ecologica; models use spatial data, it would be great to have a means of importing shapefiles with polygon information

We developed a module for reading a DXF file and using the data to set up the display of the polygon helper -- if this is the right sort of file format, we could adapt it to convert the DXF files into a format that could be loaded into the model as parameters. Would that be useful?
