Can we add a date-and-time stamp to the list of 'New forum topics' and 'Recent blog posts' on the home page?

Need to program to get time stamp for new posts
There is no option to select viewing of date and time in the 'New forum topics' and 'Recent blog posts' blocks (on the home page). So it would have to be customised by programing.
It would be sensible to have this as a feature request for the website project. It might well get lost as a blog entry and having the date and time could be useful.
Can use Views module to get date and time new post blocks
