Add Welcome to Simulistics (home page)

Content is added.

styles css information is pasted in with the content so is in the <body> where it is not allowed. It displays OK in Windows Firefox and IE but doesn't validate.

The space for the content in Drupal (the theme we are using (Garland) and others I tried) is narrower that the original site so it doesn't look right, e.g. the green box.

www.simulistics.com core

Core pages of www.simulistics.com.

Releases are virtual, just a summary of the state of the website at a time.

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Url alias to another alias

The "News" link in left hand navigation wasn't working, so I added in a new alias from news to category/article-type/news, then couldn't work out why this wasn't working. It's because the second "URL" is actually an alias, so if you type it in you go to the correct place, but it's not an internal drupal URL.

top 404 from logs

themes/garland/style.css,/drupal/sites/all/modules/fcked ...

comes up as the top "page not found" in the logs. It looks as if the "," either shouldn't be there (i.e. the comma plus what follows it shouldn't be there), or isn't being recognised. This isn't impacting on the site but it would be good if we could get rid of it. I'll look into it.

Module Mass Contact broken

Could uninstall it.

  • remove permissions
  • disable the module
  • uninstall

Then reinstall.

Installed the projects module but it doesn't work

I've installed the projects module along with the project issuses module. I am hoping that it will deal with the Simile issues list we have been planning to make public. We could also have a wish list.

We have also talked of distributing helpers seperately from the main Simile installation (actually we for Simile version 3). Project releases would help us handled this and each released file could have an issues and a wish list.

Updated to Drupal 5.5 and tagadelic

I've updated our Drupal instsallsation to version 5.5 from 5.3. Mark was going to upgrade to version 5.4 the but problem with the Projects module prompted me to upgrade in the hope that it would fix those problems. It didn't.

Upgrading was a simple matter of following the instuctions in the upgrade package.
