Simulistics

I have been using another modeling package for a few months and now need to return to Simile.  I noted the release of 6.5, but am only now in need of the new version.  When attempt to download v 6.x  on the my files page (is this even 6.5?), which i have never downloaded, I get a message that I have downloaded this in "too many locations"?  I am downloading to the same computers (a laptop and a desktop) I have always used.  I am however on sabbatical and am working from home.   Can you please help me to access the new version?   Thanks!   -- Steve Hodges

When i try to open the my most recent model it prematurely terminates Simile 6.5.  We had a lot of weather problems with our electricity and the powere was going off and on. I don't Know if that made a difference.

The particular actions that cause Simile to freeze or to quit unexpectedly are: 1) almost every time I save and 2) when I add simple elements to my model (sometimes it works okay for around 5 minutes, but I never really get to complete my model) and 3) sometimes when I hit "run". The error message I get is simply: "Simile has quit unexpectedly" and then there is a 100+ page error report attached that suggests I send it to Apple or report to you. After I have to kill the program or when it crashes unexpectedly,

what gets downloaded is non-executable. what good is this? where is the .exe file?

I purchased the Standard version of Simile 5.0.3.32  around 2008. Recently, I lost my program in a hardware upgrade. What will it cost to upgrade it to the latest version.

I have been looking at some of the models in the Mondel Gallry to learn more about certain aspects of Simile. I notice that the ones I have looked at include the .sml files, but not the associated .shf files. Are these available somewhere on the website? One model I have look at is the animal1.sml model.
