Allow customer role to see Ubercart file downloads

By giving users with the customer role access to files attached to their account we can use Ubercart downloads to distrute files to Drupal users.

Have given StevenCui Windows Enterprise Edition as a download. He isn't a direct customer but on Mark Rounsevell's team at Geosciences. So at University of Edinburgh and Mark is a research club member.

When new Simile versions released the file attached to user's account will be out of date. Use database (PhpMySQLAdmin) to updaqte links?

Configured for download to come from ~/private

Install and test out Ubercart to handle sales

Now installed. Modified user page orders tab so that permission is required to see them. This allows Ubercart to be installed and played with before general users can see it. Submitted patch to Ubercart project .. see that for documentation.

Possible fatal flaw is that invoices show order number but not invoice number. They may not be the same.

Make own modifiaction?

problem with an ubuntu 8.04 install

Hi,

I am experiencing some issues with an install of Simile-4.4 onto an ubuntu 8.04 build. I have installed the software using previous ubuntu builds without any issues but I am coming up with something that appears to originate with:

./shank.cpp: In constructor model::Model(char*):

./shank.cpp:648 warning: depreciated conversion from string constant to 'char*'

This is then followed by a list of similar issues.

Any ideas as this problem has me stumpted at present?

Simile v5.3 released

What's new in Simile v5.3?

Simile 5.3 is a maintenance release.

Scripting: Simile scripting language reference

The SimileScript language is object based. There are commands to create model window objects, run control objects and table display objects. Once an object is created, methods (or commands) of those objects can be used. (To those who know TclTk, the commands follow the same rules as the Tk graphical user interface widget commands.)

Worked example, Descriptive statistics missing its files

Should this even be a worked examples? Just in the catalogue?

Add presentations to Drupal Documentation page

http://www.simulistics.com/drupal/documentation.htm

Presentations

These presentations are provided, “as is”, in case they may be found useful. They were made for Simile version 3 and so the screen shots are out of date, however, the concepts remain the same.

SimileProlog-SimileXMLv3 conversion using XSugar 0.2

Release notes

A development snapshot release to allow developers of other tools a preview of the conversion tool with SimileXMLv3 to Simile Prolog working though the reverse conversion is not fully working. (Due to problems with handling of white space etc. as the tool is ported to the new version of xsugar with consistency checking.)

The release is the form of a zip file including, the Xsugar rule set, the appropriate xsugar jar file and example models in SimileProlog and SimileXMLv3.
